Granted, as college students, he didn’t know them very well. However, he did know enough to successfully conclude the following: "As he waited, he noticed the rest of the students as they exited the class. Some walked away without a care in the world. Some even in groups, laughing at the thought that they failed the class."

Carlos nervously took the enveloped, peered the class, & whispered, “What does this mean?” The professor said, “Unless you know the answer, and it appears you don’t. Then that envelope is your last and only option.” The professor then looked up at Carlos and mouthed, “Trust me.” "He thought he was doomed. He became, sad, angry, confused, and angry again."

Carlos slowly flipped over his paper and began reading the question. However, to his shock, the sole question of the test was covering material that he had no recollection of. Looking at the question, he could only conclude that this curriculum must have been taught on the sole day he missed. "With all books placed away, the teacher then says, “Students, today’s pop quiz will count for 75% of your total grade. The quiz unfortunately consists of one question only."

Carlos walked calmly into his morning class. He placed his backpack down and flopped unenthusiastically into his seat. He retrieved his textbook and notepad, and made ready for the day. Admittedly, he didn’t LOVE class; however, he understood that missing a class could be detrimental to his mission, and that wasn't an option. |
