The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 23:7, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…”(NKJV) Hate it or love it, your personal perception can be the tragic or triumphant difference in how you live your life.
So, the Wednesday Word for the Week is ATTITUDE!
Romans 8:37, “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” (NIV) In life there is one fact that remains powerfully and painfully true: “Your attitude will indeed determine your altitude.” In other words, the thoughts you have about yourself, will typically be “self-fulfilling prophecies” about yourself. If you think and act as if you’re worthless, then you’ll sadly and more than likely be deemed erroneously worthless. If you believe you’re unable, then you’ll probably never try. If you believe you’re set to fail, then you won’t see the need to start. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 23:7, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…”(NKJV) Hate it or love it, your personal perception can be the tragic or triumphant difference in how you live your life. So here’s the question for my #PIP family: what has God purposed for our personal perception to be TODAY? I say today because the perception of the “old-you” is none of my (nor should it be any of your) concern. I’m asking, what do you think God would say about the attitude of His Blood-bought believers? Well, as Paul was instructed to write, he would say that “…in all…things we are more than conquerors through [Christ] who loved us.” (Romans 8:37 / KJV) Consider for a moment the impact of such a statement. If you’re reading Romans 8, prior to Paul’s God-inspired statement in verse 37, he first provides a list of adversity; things that should serve as “spirit-breakers” for the “average” man. He lists things like pain, loss, struggle, abandonment, and even hunger; all things that can cause a person to feel like a failure and/or as if God has forgotten them. However, as he list these devastating things, he also reminds us that in spite of these obstacles, we are still exceptional conquerors. This is because, in Christ, we aren’t JUST winners; rather, we are extraordinary defeaters, outstanding vanquishers, and abundant victors. Why? This is true for 2 reasons. #1: Family, please never forget that the conqueror is a conqueror FIRST in the mind. In other words, he must believe in his ability to conquer, BEFORE the life calls him to actually be one. #2: You can’t be a conqueror without first having something to conquer. That’s right. There can be no victory without some hostility. Tyson needed Douglas. Steph needed Lebron and Lebron needed Steph. America needed a recession and I need struggle as well. If you don’t receive anything I say today, please receive this: I don’t care what anyone has to say about you. No, you aren’t perfect; however, you do have power. Know this: “Conquerors conquer and a conqueror is who you are!” Your thoughts? Let me know below. Peace and love family. Imperfectly, Kevin D. Jones, Sr. @kevindjonessr

I am a witness to this Word. Only a couple if weeks ago, I had a surgeon tell me that according to my MRI, I should not be able to move my legs or feet. She commented, "I don't know how you are doing this"( as I informed her that I am now driving & I plan to walk by Christmas.) My God is able!!

What an amazing testimony. It is so important for us to always know that God's power supersedes our circumstances. Thank you for the comment.
